I stream from DropBox to my iPhone all the time.

I don't think it can. as it downloads the file first I think then it will 
dart playing. Dropbox is not designed to be a thing for playing therefore 
the synch play positions across all devices is not an option. You can how 
ever contact them at [email protected] and suggest they maybe implement 
this.
