Hi Esther,
I didn't have the previous app, but this one I just downloaded does not seem to
fit your description of good accessibility. The opening screen of the app gives
the following options as you flick through the screen "button menu off" "saving
maps for off line use" "button search off" Double tapping the "search off"
button brings a pop up with a search field into which you can type your term. I
typed "oregon" my home state. I get a bunch of returns, each of which is a city
in Oregon, so I clicked on Eugene, the town where I live. The result of this
double tap seems to me that the city name is now announced as selected. But I'm
not seeing any sort of buttons that will let me access any info on Eugene. This
is all within the search pop up. There is the usual option to dismiss the pop
up, but doing so does not reveal any sort of text information about the
selected city. So as far as I'm concerned, this looks like something I want to
delete. Sorry I missed the good version. There
is a telltale hint in the app description that this app could be a problem. I
refer to the what's new section where it mentions infographics. Makes me wonder
if all the text is in infographics which, naturally, are not seen by VO.
