Hi, All. Thanks for the help. I got rid of Skype, which was giving
me trouble, and never could update itself for some reason. Willl
re-install and see what happens. Thanks again, all.

The process is as follows. Double tap and hold while VoiceOver is
focused on the app you want to delete. Your finger can, but doesn't
have to be, on the actual app icon while you do this. Once you've
done so, you'll hear a brief three tone sound. At this point, double
tap again, assuming you're still focused on the app you want to
delete, and you will be prompted to confirm the deletion. I hope
this clarifies things somewhat. Some apps, such as the default ones
from Apple, cannot be removed however.
