It is easy to get confused when changing to the Mac way of doing things. I think we have all been there. but eventually it becomes second nature. At least on the Mac you retain the menus and do not have the hated ribbons. You should find Quit in the menus under the name of the relevant application. So in Mail it should be under mail which will appear after the apple menu.
