Thanks I think this will be OK then. What is happening in his case is that his support worker is scanning chapters of books which are then conveyed to him as multiple jpg files representing each page. He does not want a separate document for each image but a single rtf file so it sounds like this will be fine>

Hello David, FineReader for Mac can convert multiple pages in one batch, but it can't put them into separate files. So, if all the JPG images are in one file, it can be opened with FineReader and all the images will be converted. I regularly give FineReader files of TIFF images from VueScan and it works fine.
