Hi Sarah, OK, here's another suggestion for a bookmark manager that will also handle duplicates: BookMacster. The background is that there was an older version of this product called Bookdog, and I know lots of VoiceOver users used that, including some people like Dane, who posted about it on this list (quite a while ago). You need to be careful which version you get, because they still have software support for older Mac operating systems, and even PPC Macs, I think. The current version works for Snow Leopard and above. The developer's web page speaks of a trial version. The software license costs $22.95, but there's a 33% academic discount. Bookdog had a long history of Mac usage, so I'd be optimistic about the present software's usability and accessibility, but I haven't tried this product myself. Basically, there was an interval after Snow Leopard when I don't think that an updated product was available. Developer's web page indicates this has been tested through Mountain Li on.
Here's the URL for BookMacster at Sheep Systems: http://www.sheepsystems.com/products/bkmx/ I'll also post it's MacUpdate web page, although in this case I would go to the developer's web site.
