You got it. I have several of the little buggers on my desk top all pointing to folders on both of my drives. Think of these as a link to a file/folder stored any ware on your system including eternal drives. so instead of going to /volumes/music/itunes/library/music I can just click the iTunes library alius on my desk top and I'm there.
