Hi James,

MacTeX 2013 is actually available now.  As you probably know it's a large 
download.  I'll give it a whirl and let you know.
Believe it or not, this little bug only arises for me on successful 
compilation.  So if I have errors it's all fine and stays open.  If I don't, 
and the app crashes then at least I know my LaTeX works. *smile*
