Andy, The missing piece of the puzzle is the address of the website you are loading before you start swiping past ipad, ipod, iphone, etc. I've paraphrased your instructions in steps 1 and 3 below and inserted a "Step 2" Where I'm hoping you might take a moment to tell us which web address Safari is loading.
Step 1: Tap Safari on your phone. Step 2: Go to website ABC.DEF Step 3: Swipe past the first few links for iPad, Ipod and Iphone, and the next one will be iTunes, double tap it.
