Hi

It is for precisely this reason that I would not use the program. While I
have nothing to hide, I do believe people have the right to privacy, and to
choose whether or not they wish their personal information to be made
public. I am not knocking the software, merely stating I personally don't
feel comfortable with whatever you scan being stored elsewhere.

Kind regards,

Subject: Re: DocuScan Plus And The Cloud

Hello Dane

I'm not nit-picking at all. And clearly you haven't figured out how the
programme works yet. When you scan a document, it is automatically saved to
the cloud first. You have no option there. Yes, you can save it locally
and you can apply a delete command to the cloud version. But prove to me
that the documents are really deleted! Prove to me that they are not simply
moved to a system area where those who administrate the service have access
to them. Maybe I'm nit-picking as you put it. But hey, I personally don't
feel at all comfortable with my bank statements etc. being sent to , let
alone stored in, a cloud unless I have absolute guaranteed security.

I'm not implying that the vendors are in any way malicious. I'm just making
the point that security has to be an issue when storing sensitive documents
in a cloud.

Kind regards

Nit picking.

I'm using Docuscan+ now so you're worried about security? Then you save your
scanned documents to your computer and not in the cloud.

us, who are a little unsettled regarding security if you're scanning
sensitive material. That is why I have retained, and will still retain,
localised solutions such as VueScan and Abbyy FineReader Express.

when it comes to documents where your personal data is stored, what
guarantee is there that the documents you store in the cloud are not visible
to others? Nom, No! Definitely super definitely not my cup of tea for
secure documents.
