Hi! I haven't been in contact with Greg for some time, he helped me set up Louis with my Mountbatten Braille Writer.
Thankfully there were no special drivers required, all that was required was a Keyspan USB to serial adapter so that the Mac could communicate with the Mountbatten Braille Writer via one of its serial ports. The Mountbatten offers serial and paralel communications control as part of its hardware thus pretty much any device on the Planet - so long as it can connect to the communications ports on the Mountbatten - can send information to the writer for embossing. I'm thinking that perhaps some other Braille Embossing machines work in a similar way?
