I have never had the issue but I'll take a stab at what could be gong on as I'm having some odd things myself not key board related.
what happens if you reboot the computer? What happens if you close all apps then log out and back in? does this happen if you have any particular piece of software running? Have you checked your disk for errors when booted in to the recovery consul? I'm also thinking a key is stuck software wise, like something to do with the mouse Did you disable the mouse keys with 5 presses of the option key to see if that works?
