Hello Adrian, I echo Sarah's suggestion on maximising your RAM as there is no way to upgrade after the fact.
Everyone uses Macs differently. Personally I run Windows as it's required for educational purposes. But you might be more than happy with the base can figuration of the MacBook Air.
