A very nice pair of headphones to own particularly if you have an IOS device and thus can take full advantage of the included inline control panel and microphone, the control panel allows the answering and ending of calls, access to Siri voice recognition, manipulation of audio and video media etc.
Hands free operation using the inline microphone is excellent and better than other headsets I've heard do the same thing in the past. These cans are the ultimate travelling companion when on long journeys such as on a train, aircraft and so on, they have been designed to isolate the listener from noise and allow the listener to fully focus on the source of audio playing through them so you certainly don't want to go walking around with these things on your ears particularly if you can't see what you're doing. The headphones fit into a nice travel bag which is easy to carry on its own or in a suitcase, bag and so on. I've tried the headphones on various audio systems I have here and they work well, its plain to see why JBL have a good name in the speaker business after listening to things cans for a while. I noted that the drivers have been deliberately angled towards to ear canals, if you look at each can you'll see that the driver housing has been angled so the direction of the sound goes straight into your ear, I've not seen headphones have this angle incorporated deliberately before. Whilst these headphones are designed for IOS devices in particular I can't rule out the possibility that they won't work with other phones, I can certainly use the cans along with the control panel on my Samsung S4 but they may not work on other phones, its difficult to tell given that there are so many Android smart phones and tablets on the market and there's no standard headphones configuration for all it seems. I paid $55.00 for these cans though I'm not sure $50 is the actual price of the headphones, I'll have to look that up but if I had to pay $100 for a set of cans such as this then I would be well and truly satisfied. I'm next going to take a look at some of the newer "inear" type headsets, a lot of new models have made there appearance and - according to the reviews and literature I've read - some major advances have been made in the sound quality of these things over the last 2 years, one would jolly well hope so given the prices of some of the "inear" headsets around. ********** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
