Yes, I have done those things. It has been happening since the Mavericks update. I'm not sure if it is an OS thing, or if the app is now too old. It's the news reader, Unison. I can't use the newest version because it is not accessible. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my ability to use it, if deleting this file does not help.
