You really can’t go wrong with ABBYY FineReader Pro. it is highly accessible and easy to use - highly accurate results as well. coupled with any Epson scanner and you’ve got a winning combination. I have an inexpensive Epson perfection V33 scanner - nothing special - it just works and it is supported by fine reader pro. I used to use ABBYY on windows, and when it came out for the Mac I jumped on it and am perfectly satisfied, especially with the price being, I can’t remember, around $60 I believe. when purchased off their website
