When you want to pair the phone with the mac you have to have typ2phone open. You go into bluetooth settings and pair the phone. You can use the up and down arrows to make selections if quick NAV is turned on. There are also some commands you can set up to make it easier to use. I have to look up how to do that again though. It is in the custom menu or something like that. I think I learned how to use it from applevis.com but it has been a while since I looked there.
