If it is the one I think it is it used to be pretty pricey. Over
100 in
the UK.
Products which do not put their price up front do not normally
compete on
price and the product I referred to you to is the only free Mac
option I am
aware of. It might genuinely be worth contacting the developers as
there may
be a simple workaround for the issue you are getting.
There are of course free high quality options in the other OS
which you
might consider if you have a Fusion install on your Mac. , This
would allow
you to have a Fusion Window simply playing the Daisy content
whilst you
continue to work on the Mac side.

Hi - I just searched for read hear, and got to the sellers
website, but
couldn't find a price for the software; can anybody advise me of
how much it
is? -

Personally speaking, if I want to use DAISY on the Mac, I use
ReadHear.
it was updated quite recently with a lot of the quirky bugs ironed
out. For
instance you can now return to your library without having to go
through the
Window menu.
The price is a little steep, I totally agree there.

Subject: Daisy files on the Mac
Hi all -
I want to develop Spanish conversation, and have been considering
a course
with the Hadley school for the blind. It seems they use DTB file
formats
for
the audio material. There was a link on their website, to test if
the
files
would play on my computer, and as they were in mp3 format, the
download
unzipped and played just fine. However, they opened in iTunes,
which isn't
ideal when it comes to needing to be able to jump to headings
etc, within
the recording. So, Is there another way, or an app that will let
me play
DTB
titles on my MacBook Air?
Thanks -
Andy
