I’m coming to this thread late, but I just wanted to make sure you know that moving the dropbox folder is done via the dropbox preferences, under the account tab. In that tab you can also specify selective syncing where you choose what folders to sync. I also have a small SSD on my MBAir and so I tell dropbox to only sync a few critical folders from my total dropbox system. that way I only have around 20GB of my total 50 GB dropbox folder on my MBAir. Selective syncing requires sighted assistance as you have to check the checkboxes next to a folder and you can’t get the mouse there without at least having a little bit of sight. , and using Zoom with mouse tracking etc. I am currently using dropbox V2.8.2 and I get to the preferences by routing mouse to VO while on the dropbox extras menu item, then doing an option mousepad click to bring up the context menu and selecting “preferences” from the context menu.
