Hellow, I’m running Mavricks on a late 2012 mac mini and running the latest version of the OS server. I’ve bought a static IP from my ISP and of course that’s my public IP, and I’ve got my computer using the same private IP address all the time. Would anyone be able to tell me how to correctly configure the server software or what settings to change in the router or domain etc please? I know this list is probably not the right place to post, but all the other information I’ve found is old stuff. I’ll put my information below in case it helps anyone.
My ISP is plus net, public static IP I bought from them is: 84.92.99.237, my private IP for the computer is: 192.168.1.64, my domain is harmonyln7.com, computer’s name iss www and the domain is hosted with namecheap. I’m using the router I got from plus net right now for connecting to the internet etc. Everything I’ve tried playing around with in my system preferences and in the router settings has normally resulted in me crashing te connection to the internet and thus having to reset everything back to defaults, so if anyone could help, that would be appreciated. Thanks, Harmony. <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
