Hi!

I'm sure you've seen my eMail regarding my new Mac Mini machine <smile>,
actually the machine isn't knew, I got it from a friend before the machine was
religated to paperweight status.

Unfortunately the previous owner of the machine didn't wipe it thus I could do
nothing myself with the machine until I got a password which I didn't get so
the only thing it seemed I could do was to perform a full OS X Mavericks
install from the Recovery mode.

Now here's where things got interesting, I was doubtful that I'd be able to
perform this type of install, I tried it once and couldn't sign into the iTunes
store however this time on the Mac Mini 2012 model I had no problems whatever
and the installation went without a hitch.

Even more surprising was the fact that the Machine remembered what the network
was it had been connected to before I performed the install which made things
incredibly easy.

So feeling byant I tried to perform a clean install of OS X Mavericks from my
iMac and it was doomed to failure from the stat, couldn't sign into the iTunes
store etc.

So why the difference, is it something to do with firmware in my 2011 iMac and
the 2012 Mac Mini machine?
