For anyone that may be thinking of doing a clean install to fix the problem don’t bother, it doesn’t work. Eventually I had to go into the Apple store and they had to connect the computer to their own networks and they did something to fix it. Even if you know file vault is off once you installed Yosemite you will most likely face this problem. Right now when I go into disk utility instead of seeing the manufacturer and a whole series of numbers as the first level of my HD all i see are to Macintosh HD labels. The first level of the hard drive should contain tabbs such as first aid, erase and so forth but you only get first aid and partition. > On 24 Oct 2014, at 2:33 pm, Debbie April Yuille <debbiey1...@optusnet.com.au> > wrote: > > Has it done it again? > > > > From: mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net > [mailto:mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net] On Behalf Of Michael Marshall > Sent: Friday, 24 October 2014 7:06 AM > To: mac access > Subject: Re: Security preferences and FileVault > > > > I hate and despise FileVault. the stupid thing in cryptic my drive and even > after turning it off it has not fully unlocked everything. > everything still works but that is not the point. >> On 24 Oct 2014, at 2:53 am, Eleanor Martha Burke > <eleanormarthabu...@gmail.com> wrote: >> >> Hi All and Sarah File Vault was enabled and this was causing my login > problem, now I have it turned off and my VO and login is all well again! >> >> Eleanor >> ----- Original Message ----- From: "wayne17a" <wayne...@gmail.com> >> To: "'OS X & iOS Accessibility'" <mac-access@mac-access.net> >> Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2014 4:43 PM >> Subject: RE: Security preferences and FileVault >> >> >>> Hello that's right but be prepaired for a wait I made the same mistake > and >>> it took four days to incrypt and decrypt so good luck >>> >>> -----Original Message----- >>> From: mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net >>> [mailto:mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net] On Behalf Of Sarah k Alawami >>> Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2014 11:21 AM >>> To: mac access list iOS Accessibility >>> Subject: Re: Security preferences and FileVault >>> >>> You actually missed the dialogue. during set up, how ever go to system >>> prefs, then privacy and security.
