Hi Following my earlier message, I went ahead and installed Windows on the Mac this morning and got JAWS installed and activated. This was done as a virtual machine.
While there are work arounds for the keyboard which I can carry out, what I cannot live with is the occasional dropout in audio. Sometimes, the screen reader will miss the first syllable of a word for example. I did allocate what I thought was enough memory for the Windows side. My questions are: If I get a USB soundcard to connect to it, is this likely to resolve the problem, or is this just one of the consequences of running it in a virtual machine? Is there a way of using the virtual machine configuration and convert it to bootcamp instead or do I have to start over and install again from the DVD media I have? Thanks for any help.
