If others use the fruits of your labor or your product, then you have a
right to be compensated for it. There is no way around this.

I don't know where you're trying to go with this. But, if you don't like it
DON'T BUY IT -- and don't steal it.

I don't know where you're trying to go with this, but judging from your
first relabeled post, I take it that you think that the labels are the ones
who feel they are owed something? The labels are far from perfect, and they
have not handled the technological explosion well, BUT neither have
individuals who leach like hell and take anything they can get. Even though
the labels are not perfect, theft is theft, and no record label exec is
pointing a gun to your head MAKING you buy a $20 CD. They and the
songwriters have an absolute right to be compensated for every new person
who comes into possession of their content. And yet, the technology has
neutered their capability to ensure that.

Also, if the music is good enough for you to keep, don't you think that it
is fair to pay the piper (et al)? If the music is "worthless", then I dare
everybody to delete them from their drives, right now.
