I do, and I have.

Its been said before, and with varying levels of sincerity, but P2P sharing
is a good way of finding interesting/good music. Radio is mostly crap, word
of mouth is limited, and when you get a good tip what happens? Either you
sample it using P2P or the tipper gives you a copy of his/her CD because you
can't find that music in the local music store (being a little unfair here,
A&B here in Victoria is pretty good, but what about music lovers in less
well served regions?).

Oh, lets go back to making comp tapes for our friends?

Wait, that was illegal too, right?

Garage sales of old LPs? But isn't re-sale without artist/label comp
illegal?

The entire argument becomes leaky.

And the whole notion of legality and complying to all the laws of the land
is pretty well ridiculous, leaving aside ignorance (which as we all know is
no defence), I'd make the outrageous assertion that we all break the laws of
our land every single day, to one degree or another.

If you have never gone over the posted speed limit, or jaywalked, or fudged
ANYTHING on your taxes:), then let me know. The Second Coming is surely
more than "at hand".

This thread will never end :)
