When I made my comments about leaving Interlynx and its takeover by Primus, I did not know how much I was losing by going to Sympatico.
Aside from the price hike $17.95/month to $22.95/month, I have lost all of the short term storage space I once had for large files. People would send me material Usually graphics and not jpegs (as my graphics really have to be in non-edited form) and I would download it usually within 12 hours, and then said information would be erased on the main server. Now Sympatico tells me my mailbox is almost always full, even though by all acoubts it is emptied regularly. Maybe I am subscribing to too many newsgroups in digest form? Wh0 knows? So my question is who has the best bang for the buck so to speak, and understands Macs? I do not have cable television, a sixty foot freestanding tower in the back garden looks after that, dual rotors, one for television, one for exclusively FM frequency radio broadcasts. No dish for me, the airwaves are free, thank you. Being within an hour of the unUnited States means i get the best of both countries... High-speed download? Well there is Sympatico however having dealt with sympatico people have no sympathy for the company. I know other ISPs can do high-speed, interlynx did it before I left and I was satisfied. Any other ideas? BTW am sticking with 9.2, have no desire to graduate to OSX whatever the current flavour Apple is pushing this time round. OSX to me is an operating system that is still IMO under development. Bryce Lee -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
