I've checked all my cable connections and they are OK. I use a separate phone line for faxing.

I had this problem before and I just can't remember what caused it. I do know it was a init or control panel. Maybe something like TCP ip or appletalk set improperly. It caused me no end of hair pulling so I guess that's why I can't remember. I blocked it out because of the pain.
