There is no duty on computers coming across the border. You are only
required to pay GST/PST on computers that you have shipped (or carry across)
from the states.

There are deals to be had on G4s out there, depending on what you're looking
for. I just picked up a G4/867 Superdrive for less than $1000 USD, with a
year of AppleCare still in place. If you're willing to go with a G4/400
(AGP) or the like, there are many machines available on eBay. Keep in mind
that shipping from the states by courier can be prohibitive...
