I just did as Stan suggested (see below), spoke to a lovely person called Olga. I should receive an invoice by e-mail within 24 hours and they will also snail mail a paper copy to be received within 10 days

I called Apple Canada: 1 800 676-2775 Mon -Fri 7am-9pm, Sat-Sun 9am-6pm Central Time .
He will need a Web order number (starts with a "W" then 7 digits) OR an Apple Sales order number (10 digits). They also assign you a customer number (6 digits).
If he has none of these, they should be able to track him by telephone number (10 digits), or in desperation, they might be able to locate his order using his NAME!
For one order, one item, I received four emails. Another order that took 3 separate shipments, generated 12 different emails!
They track you completely...
