The hardware doesn't support a drive that is bigger than 137 Gig because it uses 48 bit addressing. Since drives are usually 120 or 160 it's called the 120 barrier. You might be able to get around it with software but I've never done it.

You could also buy a PCI card which might be less of a headache. That's what I would do.
