I know it's a bit of a leap from B&W upgrade to Apple future, but it
just dawned on me that we may see Apple spin off one, or even two
companies. Apple is already showing that their long-term plan is to
move into software (why else go Intel? Speed has never been the
selling point for Apple buyers... if I wanted a fast computer for my $
I'd buy an x86 clone and run Windows).

The next logical step is to make three companies under their own
(already) distinctive brands: iTunes, Apple and Macintosh.

Anyway, that's my off-topic thought for the day.
