Odd, isn't it, that Basilisk II hasn't been ported to the classic Mac OS
-- but it is now available for Mac OS X.

Nigel Pearson has ported Basilisk II to Mac OS X. You can download it
from his page.

The other option for running older Mac software on a newer Mac is vMac.
>From the vMac home page <http://www.vmac.org/>:

"vMac is a Macintosh emulator that currently emulates a Motorola 68000
based Apple Macintosh Plus. A ROM image from a Plus is required, we plan
to implement other 68000 machines, such as SEs and II series. Currently
System 7.5.5 is the latest vMac can boot, which is the latest System a
real Mac Plus can boot."
