Well, easy or hard, I've given up. I have spent so much time on this, it's just not worth it. I'm sure I have learned a lot from all this, but not how to make printer sharing work from my Mac to the PC. I cannot seem to get the printer configured properly on my PC. I have tried several different methods, and followed them to the "T" with no success.
Last night I bid on a HP JetDirect EX Plus Print Server J2591, and won it. It's only going to cost me $21, so that's not too bad. I'll move my internet connection over to the PC so I can connect the jetdirect to the printer and AP. Maybe someone will come up with an easy configuration--that works, so I can make printer sharing happen on my PC the way it works on my Mac. Until then, this arrangement will have to do. Thanks for all the help you have given me with this project. I really appreciate all the good information and helpful websites. If I run into any trouble setting up the JetDirect, you'll be hearing from me!!
