Could be. ;) Did you see my latest post on the JetDirect? Even if you disable DHCP, you still need to disable BootP by manually assigning an IP, even entering the current IP it's grabbed using BootP willt disable it. No more "wandering IP". D'oh! That reminds me. Have you set a fixed IP on both the Mac and the PC for their Ethernet connections? If not, I bet that might have something to do with it. Every time you reboot, you're likely to have a different IP and I know Windows often has trouble "following" printers when the IP number that "leads to" the printer gets changed. I was having a problem with my LaserJet 4, wouldn't print, just sit there and blink at me. I updated the JetDirect firmware (it's version .08.49 for most of them now) and switched to the 4M driver instead of the 4/4M PS one that _was_ working until yesterday. Now it works. (Until it decides to quit again.) You'd think that after more than 50 years of ink on paper being an output device for computers that they'd have got it right by now? :P Now if I could just find a couple of Flash SIMMs for the JetDirect EX J2382B, and a couple of 5V 1amp regulated power supplies...
