What version of Word does she have and what version of
Word was the template made for?

Some features and functions in MS Office application
templates need to be "tweaked" to work with versions
newer than what the template was created with/for.

It could be a bug in her version of Word that's
been corrected with an update or patch.

See http://office.microsoft.com/templategallery

for a huge selection of free templates for all MS
Office apps.

Also go to Office Update (like Windows Update, but for
MS Office apps)

For Microsoft's "Mactopia" site, downloads for all
