Thanks for the warning Gregg - that brings back unwelcome memories. Last year I agreed to help a friend get rid of some spyware, arrived early afternoon expecting to spend a few hours and ended up leaving about midnight in defeat :-( Fortunately we discovered the Computer Cops forums (now called CastleCops <castlecops.com>) and with a bit of hand-holding from one of the experts there managed to clear the machine 24 hours later. On the plus side, since web surfing on his machine was virtually impossible during our attempts at sorting the problem (adware forcing the browsers to the same page, etc.) I was able to demonstrate my adware/ spyware/virus-free iBook :-) Neil -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac-N-DOS list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/macndos.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:mac-n-dos@mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
