Maplin do a "Mac Modem Cable" with connectors "8 pin Mini-DIN male to
25 way D-type male". I use one to connect a 6100 to a Supra modem and
it's OK.

I also have an AAUI-RJ45 adapter and connect the 6100 to other RJ45
ethernet-equipped Macs by crossover cable. No card required.
