Download a copy of mac-internet-faq. It's about 36 pages long and should
have most of the answers.

There are various tutorials on www.macinstruct.com. You can use ConfigPPP
and MacTCP, or FreePPP or Remote Access. FreePPP is said to be very stable
but uses a bit more RAM.

For a step-by-step approach to configuring ConfigPPP and MacTCP try
"Smart.net's setup for Macintoshes 512k and up", obviously changing
telephone numbers etc. I think that part of the trouble with these
programmes is switching off the machine an switching it back on to let them
take effect.

Is the hard drive SCSI or IDE? If it is SCSI the machine should have no
trouble accessing it.
