It's a program called XPostFacto. It allows some 603e and all 604
machines to run OS X 10.0 and 10.1 as well as OS X server (namely
7300-9600 at the mo, 6x00 PCI will follow, also some 603 Powerbooks).
It won't work on any NuBus machines full stop and neither will it
work on PDS 6x00s. It's mostly done using OS X conversions of the
Darwin drivers for those machines. Works well on my 7300/200 as I
said, and it's as solid as a house apart from a few networking
gremlins.

>How do you reckon a 601 Mac would fair? Pretty slooooow I'd guess,

No go. 601 machines are not supported. If you have a 7500 slot in a
604e, mine cost me 20 including p&p on eBay (132MHz 604e). If you
have an x100, x200 or another 601 soldered CPU machine your outta
luck I'm afraid. The MACH kernel (the heart of OS X) has required a
PCI 603e powered machine or better from the outset.

So's not to lose track of our objectives here can anyone sell me a
3-4GB 50-pin hard disk??
