we share the blue yonder connection at home with an imac and a win98 PC. you
need to add an extra (i.e. 2) network cards into the PC and use internet
connection sharing with win98 se or above.
if you install zone alarm on the PC you can use that as a firewall for you
Mac. you'll need an Ethernet hub as well so you can connect Mac to PC or
though it might work with a crossover cable (not sure) - we got the hub off
ebay for 25 quid and it works a treat. also allows you to add extra machines
into the network if you feel the need.
If you are in a telewest or ntl area you can get adsl for less than 30 notes
a month which also includes the cable modem.
