Usually the PCB shows signs of overheating caused by an IC that sometimes cracks away from the board. It is in the black plastic scanner enclosure. >From memory, remove the I/O board and outer case. Remove the cage assy from which the I/O board was removed, it sits below. The board is interchangeable between Personal LaserWriters.
