Don't bother - RJ-11 to UK cables are so cheap from Maplin or Rapid
Electronics it ain't worth the effort, so to are RJ-11 phone cables.
All you need is (for an Apple or other 56k modem) a RJ-11 to UK cross
over modem lead, probably �1.50 + the VAT from Rapid.

When I become stably employed I will open an account with them I
think and order stuff from them myself instead of getting my dad to
do it (and inevitably making him pay for most of it ;) )
