Dear All Can anyone help a complete Mac newbie with a problem.
I recently picked up for GBP2.00 a Mac Plus in apparently good condition. It starts up fine and displays a floppy disk with a question mark flashing on it. I assume its asking for a system disk but I don't have any. Research on the net (thanks to Low End Mac) suggests that I need System 6 which is available on the Internet direct from Apple for free. Trouble is the Mac Plus has an 800k floppy and I have no way of producing disks in this format. So now the bottom line. Has anyone got an original set of System 6 on 800k floppy's they would be willing to sell at reasonable cost (remember the machine only cost GBP2.00) or is it permissible for someone to produce a set of System 6 disks in 800k format for me from the internet. Lastly are the system disks all I will need to get started or is there a start-up disk (as per early Amigas Kickstart) required as well.
