Hi,
     The key combination thing is to force the mac to startup from 
another drive rather than the internal hard drive - is this the 
combination that you mean - command/opton/shift/delete and the scsi id of 
the chosen drive - works with any bootable drive or device with a 
bootable disk in it.
     An external scsi hard drive should just connect to the 6200 and 
mount at startup or there may be an id or termination problem - try 
another scsi id for the external.
