I used to translate PC written Excel spreadsheets to Claris when I
was at college by using ResEdit or Resorcerer to change the file type and
creator. I remember the file type for Claris spreadsheets was CWSS and
the creator BOBO - worked fine.
I used the ResEdit 'get info' command to access the fields to change
- I imagine the Claris word processing file type will be different to
CWSS - but you can easily find it using ResEdit on an existing Claris
document.
Worth a try - I eventually bought Office98 as Excel is by far the
best spreadsheet program on the market - I can live without the rest of
the package though.
