Hi I've installed my Apple Ethernet comms 2 card in my 5400/160 Mac and think I need to find a driver for it. (Have used Sherlock and there do not appear to be any files containing 'ethernet')
I understand that OS 8.6 needs Apple Enet. (I downloaded OS8.6 in multiparts sometime ago and must have thrown away the then uneeded extensions). Try as I might I can't find a copy to download. Found an updater version 2 but error message says something along the lines ' can't install with this version of software' presumably because it can't find the earlier version of Enet to update. Have tried searching Apple website but have been unable to locate the Apple Enet extension irrespective of version. Have spent the last 2 hours trying to resolve this simple problem. Plainly my search strategy is faulty. Need to break-off now and get on with the 'day job'. Grateful if someone could help me out.
