Hi there,

You will find PDF's and quicktime movies to show the user installable parts procedures for your iBook here

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=26244

As far as the USB card is concerned it should just work without any specific drivers under both OS9 and OSX I have a similar cheap card in an 8500/150 which sees connected devices no problem

HTH's and best of luck

Hi all - couple of questions that require a little technical advice for a
non-techie ...

1 Anyone know of a website with simple diagrams showing someone who just
about knows one end of a screwdriver from another how to install a memory
chip on a clamshell iBook? Having laid my hands on a 256MB SO-DIMM to give
my G3 300mHz iBook - previously labouring on a pitiful 32MB - the shock of
its life, I'm in need of some guidance on fitting it.

2 Having just fitted a two port USB card to my 9600/350 tower, I'm wondering
if there's a standard USB driver I need, as the card didn't come with any
drivers. I've got 3 system extensions already on board:
USBHIDUniversalModule, USB Clarity and USB Sentinel - should they be
sufficient, or do I need anything else? The card was a 6 job off eBay and
is just called 'PCI to USB Host Adapter' with no discernable make. The
flimsy manual that came with it is called 'Standard Open HCD USB Host
Controller' but everything in it relates to Windoze.
All advice gratefully received.

Cheers - and Happy New Year all round
