Hi all Picked up what I hoped would be a useful item for my iBook (clamshell, G3/300, OS8.6, 288MB RAM) on eBay recently - a SCUSBEE SCSI connector. Basically it's a unit with a SCSI port, which you attach via a supplied cable to your iBook's USB port, allowing you to use SCSI peripherals.
I wanted it so I could use an external Zip drive with the iBook. Followed instructions, installed drivers etc and booted up having connected and powered up everything in the order their instructions suggested, only to get a System Error along the lines of an internal bus error relating to the V90 modem (my summary). Checked the settings on my Zip Drive, making sure Termination was on and tried again. Same result. Anybody else used one of these successfully? Their admittedly limited documentation said it was designed for iMacs running 8.6 - any reason why it shouldn't work on an iBook?
