i have just purchased a new g4 15" powerbook which i received this week. I am happy with the book apart from that it has been a pain to boot up in the morning. I press the power button and it does nothing. after prodding the power button several times, it will boot up and then plays nicely during the day..
anyone got any idea why it would not respond to the powerbutton? The mac was bought from apples refurb store last wednesday so i know that it has been back to apple once hence my �200odd saving off new price - could it be defective powerbutton or should i consider sending it back and getting it replaced?
Back to the original question, I've bought several PBs and iBooks from the Apple refurb store and, bar one, they've all been as good as new so there's no reason to expect second best. The exception was an iBook with a faulty modem. It was picked up on a Monday, repaired and returned the following Wednesday. If you're sure it's faulty then I would phone AppleCare.
