You may also need to check that the Mac and the Windows computer are in the
same workgroup. You dont say which system is running as the server, but
either way this may make the difference. Check the settings for SMB in
Directory Access.

Subject: XP Home Edition and Panther Networking

Hi there,

Has anybody successfully networked Panther and Windows XP Home Edition
via Ethernet? I've been trying for ages and, although I think I'm
doing everything, both machines just refuse to see each other. They
can see themselves as sharing files, but not each other.... so
annoying!

Any tips, advice or guides would really be appreciated guys! Thanks!

Graeme
